Clear anti-dandruff shampoo is one of the most popular brands of dandruff relief shampoos available on the market. It is a really basic and no-frills type of dandruff shampoo and the formula is very standard of what you would expect to find with a typical drug store brand. I am not overly optimistic when it comes to this shampoo simply due to there being nothing special or interesting about this treatment. The main ingredient used in the Clear formula is Pyrithione Zinc which is very typical in many dandruff shampoos including the well known Head & Shoulders. There are many additives in the shampoo and it simply does not cut it in terms of quality ingredients, but if you are looking for a basic and super cheap dandruff shampoo then this may work for you.
How to Use Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
This shampoo is pretty much as basic as it comes in terms of using it. It is an every day type of shampoo formulated to help with dandruff. To apply the product, you would lather a small amount into the hair and scalp like any other shampoo and rinse out after a couple minutes.
First Impressions on Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
Before using this shampoo, I was very skeptical about whether it would actually be as effective as it claims as it does not seem to contain any special or unique ingredients that I have not seen in any other inexpensive dandruff shampoo. The shampoo itself is very light and refreshing in scent and not off putting whatsoever. It lathers quite nicely in the hair and actually left my hair feeling much softer and healthier then I had expected. Upon trying this shampoo, I have definitely changed my opinion on this product. Most of my flaking had been reduced but I had not expected even this good of results after similar experiences with low quality brands. I would suggest this shampoo as a cheaper alternative to Head & Shoulders if you are looking for an inexpensive dandruff shampoo to treat a mild case of flaking.

Pros & Cons of Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
I have to admit that my expectations were not that high when it comes to the effectiveness of this product. As it turns out however, I actually changed my mind about Clear after giving it a try. This shampoo is super cheap which makes it a great choice for anyone on a budget and finds themselves with a case of mild scalp flaking. It did not completely work for me in the sense of stopping my dandruff 100% which is why I wouldn’t recommend this shampoo as my top pick. Many people do report great results with this treatment and I am sure that it does work well for those with a less serious case of scalp flaking.
As mentioned, this shampoo does not have any unique or special ingredients besides pyrithione zinc to stop dandruff which is why I would not recommend it as my favorite treatment. It is not a natural shampoo and if you are looking something that is organic and does not contain harsh chemicals or additives then this is not something you would enjoy.
This shampoo is suitable for someone that is suffering from a mild case of dandruff and is on a budget in terms of the price they are looking to pay for a dandruff treatment. If you are on a strict budget I would suggest you give this a try because it is the most inexpensive shampoo that I have found thus far on my search to find the best shampoo for dandruff. If you have a case of dandruff that is very mild and you don’t have a sensitive scalp or skin then this shampoo may work wonders for you. If you are like me and have a more severe case of flaking, you will most likely need something better suited towards permanently fixing the problem.
Final Thoughts on Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
If you are in the market for a budget dandruff shampoo that has proven results and a price that can’t be beat then this would be the shampoo for you. I can’t say that there is anything special about this treatment but it does have its place and many people do only have a minor dandruff problem and can see great results with this shampoo. Overall, I would recommend this shampoo to those looking for an inexpensive option when it comes to a remedy for flaking.
